We are the students of the advertising and promotions class at Stephen F. Austin State University. Countering Violent Extremism was the challenge given to us at the beginning of the school year. As college students with open minds and the knowledge to take on the task, we came up with several different ideas to spread the word about violent extremism around the world. First, the class was divided into departments and each department had their own ideas and plans for the direction we should go. In our final stages the class as a whole voted on "The M.O.R.E. Movement". Our final decision was an agreement to have a positive approach concerning violent extremism and address the problems at hand, with the aim to make our peers and students across the world ware of violent extremism and to get them active in countering it.
These are our T-Shirts and buttons designed by the creative department which are two of our visual images used to identify the movement and expand our supporters. Our slogan is "We Are More" which illustrates and stands for being more than our ethnicities, our religions, the stereotypes society forces on us, the divide and restrain of the clash of different cultures, and we are more than violent extremism.
